About The Event
This is a certificated course that will run for 24 weeks.
You will need to have undertaken either Level 1 in ABC Awards Cake Decorating, City & Guilds or Beginner's Level Skills & Education Awards accreditaion or an equivalent qualification. We will also consider those who have the requisite experience in cake decorating (evidence of this will be required before you commence the course/you may undertake an assessment).
The areas that will be covered are:
- Decorating with Sugarpaste and Royal Icing
- Personal responsibilities of Health, Safety and Hygiene legislation
- Modelling techniques
- Producing 3D novelty cakes including carving
- Skilled/advanced royal icing/piping work
- Tiered cakes and so much more
